When it comes to the fish and chip business,
The Cod Father Fish & Chip Shop is no small fry.
As well as the shop in Upper Northam Road, the company runs J Henry's in Hedge End attracting scores of customers to all three both every week.
Proprietor Shane Lee has worked in the frying trade for more than 25 years, and he knows that freshness and value come top of any fish and chip lover’s list.
His dedication to the cause ensured that the Codfather was named as one of the region’s top five fish and chip shops, with the J. Henry’s business also making it into the top ten. Shane started up J. Henry’s in Hedge End in 1988, naming the shop after his son, John Henry Lee.
John himself entered the family business, and now runs The Codfather.
You’ll find J. Henry’s open seven days a week plus Bank Holidays, and The Codfather six days plus Bank Holidays.

Shane also caters for large functions, with free delivery,
and that’s a growing part of the business.
